I can remember the good ole days of going to Grand Oaks. Man did I miss it!! I remember going to all the classes and dressing up for Chapel. What an amazing experience it was. I am so honored to be able to go back and give to the place that has given me so much.
To be able to work alongside some of the men and women that taught you is one of the most amazing feelings in the world. Being able to serve with those that taught me is just one of the many privileges I have gotten over this summer.
The 8 days of camp were just amazing. Between the fellowship with former teachers now co-workers, watching the kids I have seen grow up in camp worship and being able to see God's work in my life I could not ask for anything better. This camp was one of the most memorable ones ever.
To be able to show the kids the love that Christ has for them and just to talk with them about what is going on in their lives is something so amazing I cannot begin to describe it. I had the pleasure of sharing with the Jer 29:11 and telling them that God has amazing things in store for them. Being able to watch so many young people praise and worship is one of the most wonderful things you could ever experience.
Looking back, it's amazing to see just how far God has taken me. All the lessons that he has taught me. This summer has been filled with obstacles that I knew in my human nature I could not overcome. However, if you are in God's will and you serve him he will take care of you. I have learned to cast my cares on Christ because He cares for me.
I want to end this entry in yet another challenge. Be in prayer for our leader. Leaders of our churches, associations, communities, states and our nation. Also, be in prayer for youth leaders and missionaries around the world as they continue to faithfully answer God's call and serve Him. The question is not is He speaking to you? It is are you listening to Him? God bless.
RYAN!
